Our Values and what makes us Unique
Information technology is everywhere in our lives. However, although it does improve many aspects, it causes frustration and stress as well. Complexity of the interfaces, too many features, too much focus on the technology are all issues that we must deal with.
Why is it this way?
Business Value - We believe that Information Technology projects should focus on your business results, not on technology. The technology is only important if it delivers. A successful project does not just install software. It makes it work for your business.
Usability -
Too much of what goes on in Information Technology makes it more
difficult to do our jobs. Yes, the tools can help, but why isn't
it easier. We look at technology to help people do the job better
and easier. If it isn't doing that, why do we use it? By
focusing on the business process and using technology as a tool, people
are more productive, as well as more committed to business results.
Simplicity - Albert Einstein said: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough". When a technician can't explain what's happenning, he doesn't understand it well enough. We find partners that understand what's happenning, can explain it in non-technical terms.
We create order out of Chaos - "When you are up to your neck in Alligators, it's hard to remember that you are there to drain the swamp". I don't know where this quote came from, but it is common in most organizations. We help to eliminate chaos by defining the business process that we are trying to improve. Then we look at how technology can help.
We have Fun - If you can't have fun in what you do, you won't be successful for long. We look at every problem or obstacle as an opportunity. This makes it a challenge and more interesting. We have an optimistic attitude and find ways to solve problems.
We believe in learning - We read books on any topic. It's always amazing to me that ideas from a totally different field are usable to solve prob;lems that we struggle with. We look for assignments which expand our knowledge and scope. We don't spend much time on formal education programs. Certifications may be a measure of how much schooling you have, but not how much you have done. Doing is learning.
